§ 1 Registration data

In order to become a member of Loca.li a registration process has to be initiated as described within our Standard Terms of Service (http://loca.li/terms).

Loca.li will save and use the data entered by the user in the course of registering for the purpose of creating an account and providing the respective services. The users agree that the respective data will be collected and saved by filling in the registration form.

The registration data will not be disclosed to third parties. Loca.li does not rent, sell or share personal information about you with third parties unless this is necessary for the upkeep of the network. A disclosure will only be effected after obtaining your consent in advance.

In case a user requests the deletion of its registered account, Loca.li will delete any data in respect to this account after the expiry of the statutory retention period.

The user is obliged to keep his password and identification secure at any time. Loca.li will not ask its members to disclose their username and/or password via telephone or any other communications channel.

In addition, the user is obliged to maintain and promptly update the registration data.

§ 2 User data

Loca.li will use the data submitted for the purpose of creating a user profile.

The user is fully responsible in respect to the release and the disclosure of the user data. The user agrees that Loca.li will display his personally identifiable information on the respective profile. Loca.li will use the name of the user so that the user is recognizable in the database and so that Loca.li can personalize the experience. The user is able to control his privacy settings in the settings panel and sometimes at the creation time of user data. Loca.li will not control user data.

The data released in the course of creating a profile are automatically used for the presentation and the participation of the respective user within the Loca.li platform. The user is fully aware of the fact that everybody does have access to this data - unless the user chooses a different setting. The user freely chooses the contents added to his profile. Loca.li will display this data without effecting prior checks.

Loca.li will use user data to customize the advertising and the content displayed to the users, to fulfill requests, improve the Loca.li services, contact the user via email and for statistic purposes. However Loca.li will not pass any personal data to any third person without express consent of the user.

§ 3 Information collection

The user agrees that when entering Loca.li, his browser type and IP address as well as the time and date of the login will be collected and saved.

§ 4 Cookies

When registering at Loca.li Cookies are used to identify every user for the duration of the visit. A "cookie" is a small amount of data that is sent from a Web server to your browser and stored on the hard drive of the user's computer.

§ 5 Log data

If Loca.li is accessed by the user, access data will be saved to the servers of Loca.li. Loca.li uses the logs in an anonymized version for statistical purposes.

§ 6 Statistical tools

In addition, statistical tools will be used, which save - in addition to the aforementioned access data - the navigation of the user on the webpage as well as the technical information which is automatically transmitted by your browser, which may include: availability of JavaScript, Java, Flash, screen resolution, operating system, browser type duration of the visit, returning users, geographical origin and the network (IP) address of the computer you are using.

All collected data will be processed completely anonymously and no connection to the personal user data or other data will be made. The collected data is solely processed for statistical purposes.

§ 7 Information, correction, blocking and deletion of personalized data

§ 8 Privacy acts

Personalized data is collected and stored in strict compliance with the statutory regulations of Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG, Federal Data Protection Act) and Telemediengesetz (TMG).

§ 9 Power of revocation

You are entitled to revoke your consent to the processing and use of data for the future at any time.

In this case we ask you to address an email with your name, address and email address to privacy@loca.li. We will then immediately delete any personal data, except in cases of abuse of our platform or services.

§ 10 Amendment of Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. In case of an amendment the user will be informed via email. A printout or storage of our privacy policy is possible at any time.
